Who We Help

South Carolina K9 Friends exists to serve small police departments across the state that may not have the budget to fully support their K9 programs. We understand that K9 teams are a vital law enforcement resource — and that the cost of equipment, ongoing training, and adding new dogs can be a significant burden for smaller agencies.

Eligible departments may apply for:

  • K9 equipment — vests, vehicles, gear, and supplies
  • Training costs — handler certification and ongoing K9 training programs
  • New K9 additions — funding to acquire and deploy a new working dog
